Usb flash drive just keeps saying insert disk into drive?

I have a usb flash drive that has worked fine before but now when i go to use it it just says pleae insert disk into removable disk drive

Is the drive busted or can it be fixed??? i would like to get my files off it iff possible!

First thing I would suggest would be to try the drive on another PC to see if it reads it.

If not - you might need to format it. This will wipe the drive so I would ask how important are the files on there? If they’re not so important you can normally run some commands in Windows to fix it but if you need the files you might need to look at either data recovery software or potentially sending it off for specialist data recovery (this can be expensive)
