Video downloading program

I’m stuck with having to download YouTube videos using the weird link method does a good software for downloading whole playlists and videos exist.?

Sadly there’s a lot of malware around. It can be easier to just find a video download website that lets you do it, but be sure to scan any resulting files ofr viruses.

I use the ANT video downloader plugin for FireFox. It lets me download videos from almost all the websites I’ve encountered. Works great on YouTube. I don’t know about downloading playlists.
