Google v firefox icon battle

Hi All,
I am just in the process of reinstalling my computers programs after having a corrupt windows 10 replaced. I have now run into a little problem that I am sure is nothing more the a wrongly ticked box.

I have installed both Google chrome and Firefox and for some reason, Firefox has grabbed many of the desktop icons including Google calendar, Googles My Drive, and even this Computer forum Icon.

I have tried many ways to rectify the situation and despite all this, the grabbed Icons are working, I have had no success

Any suggestions please

PS. I forgot to say that google chrome is set as my primary

At first I thought this might be a case of the browser being set to Firefox primary but if you’ve already checked that the next best thing I can think of is to right click one of the icons and select properties if given the option.

Then see if you can change the ‘open with’, if this is currently set to Firefox.
