Securely wiping a PC

I’m going to sell my old PC soon. What’s the best way of making sure the new owner can’t access my data? Is it enough to just reinstall windows or should I take more drastic action?

Windows 10 has a secure wipe built in - just use the built in reset tool and there should be an ‘additional options’ link somewhere, to select ‘Clean the drive fully’. It will take several hours but will overwrite any data with nonsense before reinstalling Windows.

Unless you’re holding incredibly sensitive data, this should be more than enough.
