Get files off of old hard disk

My old laptop the screen broke so I bought a new one as it was very old
New one works great but want to get files and photos off old laptop
Is it easy to do or do I need to take it to a repair shop

Hi @mignozogno - welcome to CF.

You'll probably want to use something like a SATA to USB adapter to plug the old hard drive into your new computer externally.

Would you be comfortable taking apart the old laptop to get the hard drive out?
