No internet access when there is!

Have you ever had this happen to you? Meaning that you cannot connect to the internet even though it says your wifi is connected and strong? What are some ways to fix this?

This is what Google says about it:
Your router plugs into a modem, a device that bridges the traffic on your home network and the internet . … Conversely, if you see Not connected, no internet or No internet connection messages, it means that your computer is not connected to a router at all.

Normally it’s down to the router or something weird going on with Windows - rebooting both the PC and the router fixes this sort of thing in most cases. It’s annoying and it happens to me sometimes - I know I should investigate the root cause each time but just flipping the switch is so much easier…

Thank you for these tips! Yes sometimes when I reboot the router it usually fixes the problem and then every once in awhile it goes back to the same problem.
