Over time i have developed a slight intrest in video editing from watching various YouTubers such as Peter mickinon and I’ve really come to enjoy how they’re videos look and i was wondering if my PC which currently has a GTX 1080 is good for video editing small 4k video projects. Or would i need to buy a used quadro GPU for dedicated video editing. Would thay even be worth the trouble …? As its a hobby only for now

The GTX 1080 is very good graphics card if all your looking to do is video editing and rendering.
The only reason you’d need a quadro GPU would be that if you are a professional or seeking professional work for future in this field of video editing. Otherwise the GTX 1080 will work with you through thick and thin no matter what software you use for it.
