Unusual Shortcuts popping out

When I try to type in MS word, these letters are popping up infront of the tool bar and based on the letters, the corresponding tools are opening as shown in pic attached…How to get rid of this?

This is a strange one. Normally, these come up when you hold down the Alt key. If it’s coming up all the time something is either not right with Word or your keyboard.

Does this happen in other Office programs e.g Excel? Have you got any other documents open in Office that might have Macros? Occasionally macros can cause strange behaviour across other open documents.
