Playstation 3 2.5 update problem?

I downloaded the latest software update and now my DVDs and games will not play. I don’t want to do restore the PS3 system which will delete all my files. Is there a way to download the old software system I had before?

Maybe the PS3 is too old now to be able to do that. You might want to upgrade to a PS4 or a PS5 that is coming out soon.
